Hi everyone. I have been interested in electronic music since as long as I could remember, and since I was asked to write a blog for one of my classes, I figured I would do it on something I love - hopefully we can get a good traffic flow with some solid dialogue about the industry. I have had the privilege of seeing the world's top DJs numerous times both in our country and abroad. Additionally, I have been lucky enough to attend some of the world's leading electronic music festivals such as Electric Zoo Festival, Ultra Music Festival (Winter Music Conference) and Sensation White. My personal ultimate goal is to open my own nightclub in NYC (named the Third Rail, after the rail which brings electricity to all of NYC's underground) which will serve as a resident spot for company and brand known for the promotion of electronic music and its events (yet to be named). I know it's a far stretch with institutions like Pacha, Ministry of Sound, Ultra, and Sankey's out there, but we'll see what happens. The goal of this blog is mainly to provide a source of information for what's going on in the industry and how it pertains to us locally. Enjoy!
